What this demo shows
This page is configured to require Tier 2 verification with the “Skip ID for Obvious Adults” option enabled. The verification flow adapts based on the face scan result:
- Face liveness check — Confirms a real person and estimates age
- Government ID — Required only if the face scan doesn’t clearly indicate an adult
For this demo, the threshold is set to 98%. If the system is 98%+ confident you’re an adult based on your face scan alone, the ID step is skipped automatically.
This mirrors how in-person age checks work — a clerk doesn’t card someone who is obviously well over the age threshold. It reduces friction for most users while maintaining full compliance when needed.
